"After hearing the sound of the tree being hit, I thought, 'Oh, I'm screwed' for two seconds."

Park Hyun-kyung, who won the McCall-Mona Yongpyong Open on the final day of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf

Association (KLPGA) Tour held at the Birch Hill Golf Club (par 72) in Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do on the 30th after an

extension, was lucky enough to have her tee shots heading into the forest hit the trees twice and land on the fairway.

Park Hyun-kyung hit her tee shots to the right repeatedly in the first extension on the same hole as the 18th hole (par 5) in

the third round. Both times, the ball hit a tree and came in to a place where there was no problem with the next shot.

In the extension, this luck led to a 5m birdie opportunity, and Park Hyun-kyung, who made the birdie putt, became the

owner of a record-breaking 3rd win of the season and 2nd consecutive extension win.

Park Hyun-kyung said, "Originally, the 18th hole requires a tee shot to the right side of the fairway. But strangely, today I

felt like hitting it right to the right," and added, "But the first time, I hit it wide, and the second time, a strong wind blew

and pushed the ball to the right."

Park Hyun-kyung said, "I was lucky both times," and laughed, saying, "At first, I thought, 'Oh, I'm screwed' when I heard

the sound of the tree hitting, but then I saw the ball two seconds later."

Park Hyun-kyung, who won the BC Card-Hankyung Ladies Cup on the 23rd after going into overtime for a total of four

rounds, said with joy, "I never imagined winning two weeks in a row. It was something I only dreamed of. I received a

miraculous gift."

He said with a big smile, "After winning three times in the first half of the year, I was reminded of the past when I was

runner-up nine times. It was so hard to win back then, but I'm enjoying playing so comfortably and winning now."

“I feel like my efforts were not in vain,” said Park Hyun-kyung. “I feel like it was worth it because I increased my driver

distance by about 10 yards by building up my strength through weight training every day for six weeks during the winter

training 스포츠토토존 camp.”

Park Hyun-kyung, who tied for first place in prize money and target points, explained that the driving force behind her

stellar performance this year was the increase in driving distance, saying, "Thanks to the increased driving distance, I was

able to hold a shorter club, which increased my green hit rate and created more (birdie) opportunities."

Park Hyun-kyung, who was the player with the best putting skills on the KLPGA Tour until last year, said, "I think it's an

optical illusion that I miss a lot of birdie opportunities because my green hit rate has increased, so I make more mistakes

this year."

"I can handle missing putts now," he said, adding, "the damage from missed putts has been reduced."

Park Hyun-kyung, who was anxious after a three-putt bogey on the third hole (par 5) in the third round that day, said, "I

made a bogey because the short putts in the beginning didn't go in, but I thought it was a tonic," and "I also got the ball on

the green in two tries on the par 5 10th hole, but the flow of the game was affected by a three-putt par."

Park Hyun-kyung, who fell behind Choi Ye-rim by one stroke after continuing her par streak from the 10th to the 15th

hole, said, "I looked at the leaderboard in the middle. I wasn't nervous or impatient at all. I believed that my chance would

come soon because there was only a one-stroke difference."

Park Hyun-kyung, who became a joint leader with a birdie from a distance of one hand on the 16th hole, was dragged into

an extension after missing a 3m birdie putt on the 18th hole, but confirmed her victory by sinking a 5m birdie putt in the

extension.

Park Hyun-kyung said, "I wasn't confident in the birdie putt on the 18th hole in the third round because it was a downhill

slice line. However, I was confident in the birdie putt in the extension from the moment I marked it. It was the distance

I've made the most of this year and my favorite. If you agree with your dad (who is my caddie), you have a very high chance

of making it in, and this time, our opinions were exactly the same. That's why I was confident in the putt."

Park Hyun-kyung, who recorded a 4-1 win rate in overtime with this win, said, "I didn't think I was strong in overtime, but

after winning the overtime at the last tournament, I felt that I had grown a lot mentally and technically." She added, "This

is the first time in the KLPGA Tour that I have won overtime for two consecutive weeks, so I think it will be helpful if I can

bring back good memories for the next overtime."

He explained why he is strong in overtime, saying, "When it goes into overtime, I tend to relax and think that whether I

win or lose, it's a 50-50 decision," and "I enjoy even that moment."

Park Hyun-kyung laughed and said, "I'd rather go into the last hole with a five-stroke lead than win the overtime, but it

doesn't work out as I'd like."

Park Hyun-kyung, who was only one of three players with two wins in 2020 and has never won a notable individual title,

repeatedly expressed her desire to win the grand prize, saying, "I definitely want to win the grand prize rather than the

prize money king."

Park Hyun-kyung, whose season prize money exceeded 880 million won and her total prize money surpassed 3.9 billion

won, said, "My goal was to achieve 10 wins before I retire, and to surpass 1 billion won in prize money this year and 4

billion won in total prize money, but I think I need to adjust that a little upward."
